ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) context.
KCAA requirements for Quality Systems (AOC, AMO, ATO).
The relationship between QMS, SMS, and State Safety Programme.
Types of audits (Internal, External, Product, Process, Regulatory).
Roles, responsibilities, and attributes of an effective Lead Auditor.
ISO 19011 principles of auditing.
Developing risk-based annual audit programs.
Creating effective checklists based on specific operational manuals (e.g., Training Procedures Manual, Maintenance Control Manual).
Desk audits and initial document evaluation.
Conducting opening and entry meetings.
Interviewing techniques and managing human factors during an audit.
Sampling strategies and objective evidence gathering.
Grading findings: Observations vs. Non-Conformances (Levels 1 & 2).
Drafting clear, evidence-based Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).

To earn the AUT certificate, trainees must successfully complete the practical mock audit workshop and pass a final written examination on the last day, which requires a minimum passing grade of 75% to ensure regulatory competency.
